Mental Health Support Group
NAMI Connection is a recovery support group program for adults living with mental illness that is expanding in communities throughout the country. These groups provide a place that offers respect, understanding, encouragement, and hope. NAMI Connection groups offer a casual and relaxed approach to sharing the challenges and successes of coping with mental illness.

All groups meet from 6:30PM to 8PM

Covington

Every Thursday in the Mandeville Room at St. Tammany Parish Hospital

(Main Hospital Building lobby entrance)

Hammond

First and third Wednesday of every month in the E. Brent Dufreche

Conference Center on the main campus of North Oaks Medical Center

Slidell

Every Monday in the Camellia Room at

Ochsner Medical Center – Northshore (Main Hospital Building lobby entrance)

 

Groups may be subject to change, for the most current program information contact us 

 

Each group:

  • Meets monthly for 90 minutes
  • Is offered free of charge
  • Follows a flexible structure without an educational format
  • Does not recommend or endorse any medications or other medical therapies

 

All groups are confidential – participants can share as much or as little personal information as they wish.
